He wasn't sure if need was the right word for it, because he could (and had) live without touch if he had to. But he craved it, and he certainly wouldn't say no to it. She was someone he felt close to, anyhow - someone he felt he could trust without risking anything of himself. He was meant to help her and she was meant to help him, he knew that.

His fingers laced with hers once more and he reached out for his wine, taking a drink. When he placed his glass down again he said, "If they agree to meet with you, I can come - stay someplace where I can watch and make sure you're okay. I'm sure I could convince Gabriel that he wants to help as well... if it comes to that."
