Who: Adonis and College Where: Adonis' apartment When: Late evening Warnings: Language, alcohol, violence and sexuality. These boys are messed up.
Adonis was horribly confused. Apheca, Apheca. Who had it been? Inanna as Astarte? Astarte as an early Aphrodite? He simply couldn't remember those days, had forced himself not to remember centuries and centuries ago simply because all the various versions of his origin, all the various versions of his history... if he let them all crowd his mind... he would have gone insane an age ago. Well, even more insane. By the time he realized that he'd communicated with a goddess who was actually worse than Aphrodite in her lust - and better, but he didn't want to think about that - Adonis had downed a mickey of vodka and was sitting on his bed, cross-legged and gripping another bottle tight.
The bracelet Inanna had sent him before her departure was sitting on the small table next to the bed, calling to him. Was her power infecting it? He wasn't sure because all love goddesses called to him, reminded him of Aphrodite but at the moment, Adonis just wanted Inanna. And College, of course, but visions of just how perfect it would be to belong to Inanna - perfect and terrifying, just what he liked - were running through his mind as he stared at the bracelet with a mix of longing, mourning and fear.
He wouldn't let himself touch it, wear it.
But he could think about it. He could think of the flash of gold and green against his pale skin and he could wonder what it would be like in Inanna's arms. Would it be like coming home again? Home to Aphrodite's arms? Adonis hissed lightly at that thought and took another long gulp of alcohol. He had no home. He wasn't even sure where he was from in the first place and that that made him drink more, Adonis wiping at his mouth with the back of his hand. Was College going to show up soon? Adonis didn't know, he had barely been able to break through a lust-induced haze to type out a message for his lover. At the moment? He didn't give a damn if College showed up. He just wanted to wear the bracelet even though a huge part of him said that was the most foolish idea he had ever had.
