Mari may have been a god to Harmony but fear was intrinsic to worship and Harmony was afraid to be on his own at the Highway with his brother. He was still hollow and ripped open like a punctured tin can inside, still saw in monochrome, but possibly a combination of Speed's nervous anxiety at his boyfriends arrival, Shroom's determined attempts to hold together the pieces of them that had broken, the resentment he could feel everywhere, the tension, the tiredness, the hole where Mari should be, all that created an unsettled panic in his tummy and he rubbed at it absently as he tried to ignore it and not work out exactly what the feeling was.
He didn't feel comfortable there anyway, didn't want to pick this place as the place for his disappearance when Mari already steadfastly held it against him. His brother's had been there though so that had cushioned things, and he felt like he was needed there to help them, maybe. He'd been ordered to stay in the Highway but he'd been staying there for a while now and nothing was getting better. he wasn't returning to normal, his brother's weren't returning to normal, Mari wasn't there even when he was and he hadn't heard back from Heroin about the proposed trip out together.
Heh. Trip out. He might have laughed if he was able to find anything funny anymore, anything else other than shades of grey and the white and black that bracketed it.
He'd told Tracer he'd see him later when he got back. He had to try not to disappear, although it was hard when there was so much else for people to take, the new influx of his brother's powers he'd felt dwarfing his own waning spark. He didn't mind so much; he just didn't want to leave Tracer alone to face everything by himself. He was really rather worried about his most similar brother.
So, he wanted to leave this place because the space under the bed where he was literally gathering dust was becoming smaller and smaller by the hour. But he had nowhere else to go, no other option or idea in his mind. Mari had ordered him to stay at the Highway. Shrooms had told him he'd see him here later. He had to stay. Stay and wait.
