Rave stood outside of the large department store, her arms crossed over her chest, swimming in a t-shirt that couldn’t possibly be her own. Her hair, free of it’s usual dreadlocks was tied back at her nape in a short tail, the single pink braid with the two long, iridescent black feathers tucked behind her ear to hang against her collar. She chewed at her thumbnail, biting away the blue interference purple nail polish that had already started to chip off, a worried look on her face.
It was all she could do not to bounce in time with the music on her ever-present Ipod, the last time she tried the results had been painful and awkward, and so, well loved platform sneakers tapped on the sidewalk while she waited.
