Who: Glibt and Libby
What: Catching up
Where: A coffee shop in SoHo
When: Thursday evening
Rating: Language probably, else tbd

Libby hadn't been entirely surprised by the fact that she was probably going to have to nail Glibt to the floor to get to actually see him. He was busy, she could understand that. She'd kept up with the news, partially for his sake, partially for their shared followers. She knew how important it was to keep the momentum going.

Still, it would be nice to talk for a moment. They weren't always the best at keeping up with each other, too easy to get lost in their respective fights. Obsessive about work, family trait. Who'd have guessed.

She watched as the waitress refilled her coffee cup again and waved her off with a thankful smile when the woman asked if she wanted to order anything. She had been there a little while but she didn't mind waiting. Maybe it was being back in the city, maybe it was nostalgia, maybe she was just having a strangely good day, but Libby was in a good mood.

She'd even give her brother a whole minute or so before telling him he was an idiot. Whenever he showed up.

Yes, Glibt had power-surged and covered Mark's bathroom with glitter, but he'd scrubbed it clean and had actually relaxed for a bit after, going out in the snow for a walk that lasted about fifteen minutes before he was turning on his cell phone again to field calls from his various contacts. While Glibt was only a minor writer for ACT UP, he had a wide and varied network of contacts across the nation, enough to know exactly what was going on with his various activist and lobbying groups.

But now, he was meeting his sister - his big sister - and he could turn his cell to vibrate for that. He looked up to Libby even if he was a tad nervous that she was actually going to sit on him to make him stop working so hard. Hopefully, he could avoid that.

Still, as he walked down the SoHo street, his cell phone buzzed and when he pushed the door to the coffee shop open, he was quietly murmuring instructions to one of his New Hampshire contacts. When he saw his sister, he gave a quick good bye and slid into the chair across from her. "Please don't sit on me." He gave her a sheepish grin as a greeting, running his fingers through his hair briefly. "How can I work if you do that?" Yeah, she was going to call him a nitwit, most likely. And he'd deserve it.

One eyebrow went straight up, even if the rest of her expression was hidden behind her coffee cup. "That was kind of the point," she said dryly. "If you take breaks like a normal person, I won't have to." Ignoring the fact that technically neither of them were anything approaching normal people.

She set her cup back down, making absolutely no effort to hide the fact that she was looking over him carefully. Apparently satisfied with whatever she saw, she nodded a little.

"You look good," she grinned a little, hands resting absently on her cup. "What have you been up to?" A brief pause. "And don't say work or I'll kick you." Considering the kind of boots she tended to wear, that was no idle threat.
