Who: Gabriel and Goth Where: Starbucks / wandering the street / Bellevue Hospital When: Late Monday afternoon What: Visiting the children’s cancer ward Warnings: Pulled heartstrings.
If Gabriel had one vice, it would be coffee. He didn’t often indulge in anything else save the occasional satisfaction of his sweet tooth, but the archangel could not function without his coffee. With that in mind, finding him in a Starbucks was not at all a surprising occurrence when he was in the mood for something different than the coffee from work strong enough to stand on.
But the reason he sat now, at one of those high tables with his tall, full fat extra cream caramel macchiato with extra sauce was not for his usual caffeine boost today. He was meeting someone, and the little coffee shop was within walking distance to the hospital he had promised to take her to. He read while he waited, an amused smile settled on his features as he flipped casually through the pages of Paradise Lost.
Dressed casually, he wore a pair of loose-fitting cargo pants, and a beloved tank top that was likely once black but had faded to the point where it was a dull, smudgy charcoal gray.
