Adonis tried to hide his unhappiness but it was something that Jord could feel, something that she could taste in the presence of him even as he got out of the car, even before she could see him. He kept insisting that he was just fine, but she wasn't. He clearly wasn't. The goddess wanted to point this out to him, that everything about him felt tumultuous, confused, unsteady...but he wouldn't listen. He would only become angry, she was sure of it, and so she had avoided the subject...would continue to avoid it.
His lips brushed across her hand and the kiss spread up through her arm and she wanted to pull him close to her, but she refrained, giving him a soft greeting, a nod, laughing as the hound jumped up at her. Letting her fingers spread over the puppy's head, Jord smiled and shook her head. "He's already listening to your commands, then? Well done." Though really, she wasn't surprised. Adonis had hounds in the old days, taught them to hunt with him...she had expected this to be the same. Had expected Theias to thrive under the hands of the God of Spring.
"It is...good to see you," she said softly, gesturing to the seat next to her own, lifting her cup of tea to her lips. "I am glad that you suggested coming to this place. I have been very tired and...I have missed you quite thoroughly."
