"Yes," Divorce agreed thoughtlessly. The teacup rattled loudly in its saucer when she accepted it from Comfort Food with shaky hands. Startled, she set it down against one thigh after sitting, taking a moment to appreciate the heat. It was a welcome distraction, the same way the hot water had been when Divorce blistered her hand. Anything to distract her from the pulsing thread of matrimony sitting tight in her head.
"Thank you, CeCe," Mona repeated. The wreck of a goddess peered up at her friend gratefully, tired but still managing to muster a weak smile. "I can't say it enough. Having you here is almost like having my head on straight again."
Unfortunately, it wasn't quite like being single and never married. Briefly, Divorce wondered if Greed knew yet. She suspected she'd know after he did.
"I'm never going to Las Vegas again," she muttered.
