Divorce's words might have made sense to any other goddess, but at the bones of her, Comfort Food was practical. There was an immediate problem to be fixed - Mona's hand, and her sorry state. There was nothing, absolutely nothing, that could not be faced after a warm bath, a bit of chocolate, and a good cup of tea.
Well, it seemed like going about things backwards would be in order, here. First the tea, then persuading Mona to see reason. CeCe reached towards the table to pick up a steaming hot cup of tea and its matching saucer, prepared, naturally, just the way Divorce liked it.
"Drink this, dear," she said, bringing it forward for Divorce to take. "There are other ways to distract yourself from pain besides more pain, you know."
