It was safe to say that now Zephyrus didn't feel any hesitation come out of Iris, her body language matching his, and it was all he could ask for right now. He didn't deserve any of it, but she gave it to him freely and it was more than he could ask for. It made each time that much harder to leave, and if at all possible, maybe in the end he wouldn't go at all. It would be nice, he'd think, without the tears and broken feelings.
Where tears had fallen only moments earlier, Zephyrus placed a trail of gentle kisses down her chin on onto her neck, following the graceful line of her throat. There was only a smirk to prelude what happened next, which was Zephyrus swiftly bending down and and picking her up, now carrying his wife more properly in a newly wedded bride-like style.
"Is there a bedroom around this place or do I have to look for a kitchen instead?" he teased, walking towards a random direction, jostling Iris in his arms for humorous effect. But no matter what he did, his arms were firm around her, solid. He'd never hurt her again, that was for sure.
