Although Zephyrus was close to being content, in calling it a day with this whole thing, the nagging feeling in the back of his head just wouldn't leave him alone. He tried really hard to focus on his wife's words, to take them to be genuine and true. Zephyrus meant all that he said, he hardly lied or needed to, so what he said before was still standing to be true. However, it was more of his jealous nature rearing its ugly head.
Fingers continued to play with Iris' hair, Zephyrus always finding comfort within that small habit, his eyes looking away, already showing plain guilt for what he was going to ask next, but it came out anyways.
"Sounds like a lot of the old crowd's here. I'm sure you might've found one or two to talk to, for company."
