Blue eyes caught the reddening under her skin, Zephyrus taking this in as a good sign. He still had some effect on her, he still had some chance. The reply for such a statement she was giving him was the obvious form of apology, but then again, Zephyrus felt that bile of jealousy rise in his throat once more. It was insistent, trying to break free of his own stubbornness at the moment to be civil. Did she truly need him during those times when she had found other company in other gods?
For the moment, Zephyrus didn't advance any further, leaving the good two feet between them alone. If her words were true, she would come to him. He was depending on it.
"You could put it that way." He softly shrugged, leaving it up for her to decide whether or not she wanted it to be that way. Zephyrus knew that eventually he had to apologize, but being the proud god that he was, he wasn't going to do it more than once. "I wasn't here during those times, it's over with. I'm here now."
"I never left you entirely, Iris. I always come back." Although his feet had stopped moving, that didn't mean his hands did, which was what he was doing. Reaching out, his arm easily crossing the distance and his fingers brushing against her cheek to tuck a lock of hair behind her ear.
