who: Hades and Persephone when: Thursday, around 1:00pm where: The flower shop
Hades had lied the day that he and his wife had exchanged a series of voicemail messages and then spoken on the phone. He hadn't meant to, but he had. He'd wanted to visit her the very next day after speaking to her, but Theo had caught a cold and had been home from school all day, so he hadn't had the opportunity. Now the boy was better and was safely in his teacher's care, so Hades decided to drop in on dear, dear Persephone. There were advantaged to being the Unseen one. As he walked to the flower shop the mortals around him felt compulsed to overlook him as if he wasn't even there. A bell on the door tinkled when he entered, the shop seemed empty except for a blue haired old lady who looked ready for the Underworld. She was trying to decide between two pots of flowers, Hades passed her quickly without a word or a look.
He came to a table of orchids and made a very convincing show of inspecting them, though really he was watching with a hawk's eye for Persephone. He had something for her, a small box in his shirt pocket that containd a necklace he'd crafted especially for her.
He knew what she liked to wear now - he'd been following her, invisible, two purposes in his mind. The first was less important, keeping men away from his darling, the second more so. Her presence was intoxicating, when she smiled he thought he might perish for it. He wished she would smile for him that way, perhaps the necklace would cause it.
