Who: Phobos and Psyche
What: Bonding, aww. And...confessions.
Where: On the steps of the New York Public Library
When: Thursday, April 9, early afternoon
Bubble tea was, in Psyche’s opinion, one of the loveliest inventions yet.
It was a cool, refreshing beverage, and it was a snack. You could enjoy the milky, almond-like taste of the tea and munch on the little bubbles all at the same time. Although she wasn’t exactly certain if this is what Phobos would have picked of his own accord, he did leave the choice up to her, and he was perfectly aware of just how much of a tea aficionado his sister was.
Besides, today was rather a bubble tea day — the sky was clear and bright, and even though the weather was still chilled, it felt marvelous to sit outside the library, next to the well-known (and well-worn) lion statues, watching the world go by.
“So,” she prompted, turning big, inquisitive brown eyes on Phobos, “I must confess, I didn’t invent Take Your Brother Out Day just because. There’s something I have to talk to you about. I felt it only fair to warn you in advance.”
Another pause. Another sip. Another bubble, which she chewed thoughtfully.
“Do you remember the family dinner idea you and I had discussed briefly? You hadn’t been too keen on it, and I had promised to postpone it. But I’m afraid it’s going to have to be soon, dear. Relatively speaking.”
