She was too. She was absolutely destroyed on some level. This weekend had been.. awful, it had been too much for her, and she had lost her closest friend. Of course she wanted to be his friend. It was.. because she cared for him that she had to let him go. It was because it hurt her to watch him be destroyed again and again that she couldn't be close.
She crumpled in the moments of that panic attack, sliding to her knees and hiding within her hair, the tears falling now unhindered and she's incapable of stopping them. So heavy that she can't see through them. Letting him go like this.. it seemed wrong, especially with the way he was reacting.
Had she given him the choice? Or had she made it for him?
"Wait..."
Came the tiny plea, but.. perhaps he never heard it as he left.
"Please don't go like this..." Spoken again, this time against his ear though he was several floors away by that point.
