He did indeed, unfortunately... all he wanted was a moment of normalcy; a normal life with family, but with all the tumultuous things going on within the pantheon, Ares didn't think he'd ever achieve that.
Ares wasn't too sure what she was talking about. His brows furrowed - he looked concerned, though more for her than for himself. She was keeping things from him? No, that wasn't the point - the point was that she thought that she was doing it to... protect him, or something.
"I want you to tell me what you want to. I don't want you to carry my burdens around with you, but at the same time I don't want you to feel like you have to tell me anything. It's just... I'd rather you tell me, than feel guilty or whatever."
He rested his palms on her upper arms tentatively.
"And if... If that's what you want of me; if you want me to... use you, I can do it." He wouldn't like it, and she would probably know that he wouldn't like it, but he wouldn't make any excuses. He'd do it for her, and then they'd forget about it.
