As a live event stream piped out of her computer speakers, loud enough that the desk and floor vibrated. Her neighbors had long since given up complaining about the music that would invade their places. Indeed, over the years, the previous tenants had moved out, and gradually been replaced by Rave's own worshipers, children of the dance floor, Kandi Kids. When the months would grow warmer, the deity would open up her windows and shower her beats over the neighborhood for lack of anything better to do with her time.
The soundtrack set, and her cleaning mostly done for the day, she bounced as she wandered around the open-concept studio apartment, a swiffer dusting wand in hand. Trinkets in bright shades decorated the walls, and every flat surface. Shiny plastic bracelets, old event flyers and stuffed animals. However, it all had an order, each piece placed a certain way, not just dumped upon where they landed. It was clutter, but organized clutter.
She moved off to the window when the last of the dust had been wiped away, propping the large glass pane open, so that she might sink down on the ledge, peering down at the street below. Sweet Rave had no true idea of what was going on out there with the other Gods and their drama, as always, caught in her own sparkling bubble of ignorance. Even still, her cell phone had been placed in her back pocket, so at least, if it rang, it would vibrate and she wouldn't lose any calls to the din of the music, and indeed, it was Sunday. She was expecting at least one.
