His words were a comfort to her and combined with the power of his gaze Athena was tempted to just give in, to wrap her arms around him again and begin to quietly weep. But she did not have that luxury, not even with Caerus.
Instead she smiled softly and darted forward to quickly kiss his cheek. "Thank you, Caerus," she said quietly as she pulled back. Athena shifted her gaze from his and tried to compose her face before giving up and shifting forward.
"Yes, queso dip," she didn't release his hand, but used it to lead him in to her living room. She shot an arch smile over her shoulder at him, "Just for you."
