She opened the door, and Caerus was already grinning. He felt her long before he saw her, and it was a comforting, familiar feeling - even if it was a lot more powerful than he was used to these days. He’d heard what had happened to her city, and could only have imagined what Athena must have been going through. It also must have done a lot for her, though. He’d heard so much talk of Athens he’d almost gone dizzy from looking up at the sound of the name whenever it was mentioned. Not only that - he’d made certain there were plenty of opportunities for the subject to come up. He wouldn’t let that tragedy go by unnoticed, wouldn’t let the chance for his sister’s name to be spoken go untaken.
It didn’t matter right this second, however. She was right in front of him, laughing, and Caerus didn’t even stop to think. He stepped through her door and put his arms around her, being only just careful enough to keep the rose from being crushed. “Hey, ‘thena…..I missed you.”
