Who: Death and Inanna
What: Helping
When: Friday afternoon
Where: Inanna's place
After being frequently spotted in his apartment complex with Gladys in tow, Death had learned that a number of his neighbors were married non-working women with children of their own with little more to do than try to keep themselves thin and organize wine tastings and things of that nature. From one of those women Death had gotten the number of a babysitter and a nursery. This boded well for him, and it freed him up to do his work. Of course, as soon as he'd found a way to make things less complicated for himself, she needed him. She did. He was sure. There was no way she would have begged for his presence so thoroughly. Never in his mind did the thought occur that he might be being manipulated in some way, he'd not had a chance to fully detach himself from her influence, and so he felt obligated to go to her.
He padded down a red hallway, there were many doors and they seemed to go on forever. He reached out with his senses to try and locate her, but her pulse seemed so weak and frail. He felt his chest tighten and he walked more urgently. One of the doors had a tie on the doorknob. Death turned to the door across from it. He placed his hand on the doorknob, tried to turn it and when it did not move, he simply walked through the door.
"Ishtar?" Death called into her apartment. "Ishtar, where are you?
