The twins were a few minutes late -- Castor's fault, as always, who had lost his favorite shoes and spent twenty minutes turning their new apartment upside down to find them. But the minute they finally made it to the coffee shop and saw Orpheus, they broke out into two very different smiles: Castor's, wide and delighted; Pollux's, softer and gentler but no less genuine.
They made their way over to their old friend, and without waiting to greet him decorously, Castor pulled Orpheus out of his chair and into a tight hug. "Hey man," he said into his ear, and thumped him on the back with satisfaction. "Good to see you." Pollux stayed back, waiting his turn, grinning at Orpheus over his brother's shoulder.
