Candy's eyebrows arched delicately when he looked at her, though once the decision had been made, it was pretty much left up to the boy. She watched him go as well, silent and calm beside MJ the entire time. It wasn't until after the boy was gone that she realized just how funny the look on the kid's face had been.
"I know," she answered softly. Curling her hand with his, she stepped closer and ran her free hand lightly through his hair to try to smooth his mood out a bit.
A sweet smile curled on her mouth and the gesture reached her eyes. "I know you weren't, but I didn't really feel like cleaning up human waste today." She leaned in and kissed the top of his head, and even though she was almost painfully curious, she didn't ask why the boy was angry about Ruby.
