"I know, Marc. I saw the mark," she replied softly, her eyes darting to the boy. "He'll learn his lesson, but this isn't the way to do it." She was doing her best to try to calm MJ down, and she let out a soft sigh when he moved the gun away from the kid's face. She stepped closer to him, her hand sliding down his back to rub his lower back gently.
Brad's head was still reeling. He knew that his class ring had cut Marc's cheek open - the blood was still there until Marc reached up to wipe it away. He stared wide-eyed at the two of them, his heart still pounding in his chest. He slowly started to back towards the door, his teeth clenched together as he shook his head slowly. He waited until the last possible moment to turn, and then he quickly left the shop, waiting until he was past the windows to take off running.
Candy had to bite down on her lower lip to keep from laughing since she knew that it was entirely inappropriate to laugh since MJ was still mad.
