Eros's birthday, she hadn't been to a party in too long, and had not seen her family for longer still. Mnemosyne was happy with just being with herself for a while longer, putting off getting ready until the very end so she could get use to the feel of her new home, the new body, the new realm. Eventually the time came however, and she was forced to pull away from the plush cushions her new furnishing as she made her way to her room and gathered a favorite dress. A favorite because it was the first she'd bought, instead of created from her own imagination and abilities. Probably something she'd only wear once however, sad, but true of many people and their 'gowns.'
The corset was stiff and hugged her tightly, hard and immobile. A stark contrast to the very thin and flowing fabric of the 'skirt' that flowed like a wave of water down from her hips and over the floor in silver and grey tones that sparkled pale blue with just the right light. A dust of glitter was spread over exposed skin to finish the aquatic look, her favorite tiny blue flowers were braided in different areas of her hair for the simple fun of it, and makeup consisted of nothing more than a natural glow and a little gloss over her lips. She was in her mid-late "30's" after all, no reason to try too hard. The mask was a mesh of silver metal that sparkled with the smallest hint of light, it reminded her of the 'fog' in her pond. The gown and mask seemed perfect for one another, four inch wedge sandals that laced up to her knee finished off the outfit, she hid a small pouch against the folds of her skirt where the corset met the skirt, and headed for her nephews party.
Once there, she couldn't have been more proud of the boy her half-sister had produced. His sense of taste would never stop amazing her, she couldn't wait to see him, to see everyone she missed. Even those who didn't know or remember her.
