Who: Adonis and Jord
Where: Car, Jord's apartment
When: After the meeting
Warnings/Ratings: Should be rather tame.
Adonis left the meeting with a racing heart and trembling hands, unable to believe that he had actually spoken up in the presence of such high and powerful gods and in defense of Hades. He didn't know how they had been pushed this far, how he had been pushed so far but after Zeus' harsh words and Athena's incredible rudeness to him over the blogs, he had been at the perfect stage to believe Hades' words and support him in his bid for power. He paused on the sidewalk to light a cigarette and think just for a moment before he had to pull himself together to face Jord.
Persephone, free? He couldn't help but grin wide at the thought and look up into the night sky to breathe a sigh of happiness. She would no longer have to be shut up in the Underworld every winter, she could be outside all year round and never have to worry about there not being open sky above her head. Wherever she was, she walked free and Adonis couldn't help but let a little laugh escape from between his lips. Quickly though, he did his best to force those emotions away and puffed on his cigarette as he trudged down the sidewalk. However the smile forced its way back on his face and he almost felt like giggling or dancing or finding Persephone and just giving her a congratulatory hug (or more).
But as he felt Jord's presence as he neared the car and did his best to dial down his enthusiasm for his former lover's freedom. This didn't mean that he had any claim over Persephone or that he would seek her out at any time. If Hades really was the King, Adonis wasn't about to anger him like that. Opening the door and sliding in beside her, he did his best to keep a straight face before the smile broke through. "That was... interesting." He murmured, looking down at his still slightly shaking hands and putting them to work in tugging down his hood and freeing his long hair from the confines of the sweatshirt. "I spoke." Those words were said quietly as if Adonis could barely believe them but there was still that ghost of a smile on his face.
