Despite, or perhaps because of the current situation, Athena was determined to maintain order in her life. She was busier than usual, yes, but that didn't mean she'd ignore her favorite niece, especially since she had seemed disturbed after returning from her conversation with Ares.
Athena was not disappointed in Psyche, even though Ares had not returned to the meeting. She knew, better than anyone, just how difficult Ares could be. And if there was anyone to blame, she herself could have done better, could have reasoned with him more.
It was just that she was still. So. Angry.
She knew she'd make mistakes, but now, more than ever, she could not afford to -- and she had already made so many. But now was not the time to think of that, and so Pallas Athena smiled at her niece. "Psyche," she said, sliding into the seat across from her. "It's good to see you."
