Eight months, four weeks and one day. That was how long she'd been stuck in this place and, for the most part, she'd kept to herself whenever possible. She hadn't even made any moves to seek out those from her own home. Way she figured it, Logan was busy with either Veronica or Lily... or both. She was just glad that she was no longer in the room with the guy that tried to eat her on her first night here. She'd gone to great lengths to try to keep out of his eyesight (and hearing) since they'd moved rooms. And so far, she'd managed it quite well. Of that, she was proud of herself at least. She'd also taken to running again. Back home in Neptune, Hannah had been on track. It kept her in shape, it kept her heart pumping and it kept her brain not focusing on this whole weird, stupid circumstance she'd found herself in. Scary too... it was incredibly scary still even though she'd been here so long. She hadn't even spent this long in the boarding school in Vermont. But then again, at least there she'd had people she could talk to. Unsurprisingly, the little blonde found herself waking up early. It was like that more often than not since she'd arrived here (if she got sleep that is. Normally she was up this early because she'd gotten absolutely none.) and there was nothing she could seem to do to combat it. Even running didn't help, though that was precisely what she was getting ready to do. It was why she was currently occupying the area just outside the big mansion (Castle? She wasn't certain what to call it) stretching as much as she could. Sure... it might not be the safest place to be even this early in the morning, but if something came at her, she could at least head out immediately after stretching. And stretching... stretching was important. The last thing Hannah Griffith needed was to pull a muscle if she ever had to run away from something. Taking a breath, she stretched her leg high onto the wall and leaned down against it, her body flush against the limb that was extended, and began to work out her hamstrings. These were always the last of the stretches for her. Soon she'd be running along the grounds, trying like hell to keep her brain busy and keep her body moving in order to find that one piece of normalcy that she could still grasp around this place. |
