Avery nodded when she asked if her roommate was out. "For now, anyway," she answered. There was no telling when exactly Jesse would be back. She wasn't even sure where he was at the moment. The thing about having a strictly sexual relationship is that she didn't care where he was when he wasn't in the room. She sat down on the edge of the double bed in the room--they had to claim to be a couple to share a room, but that was okay with her. They were sleeping together anyway, so sharing a bed hardly bothered her. She beckoned for Evette to join her.

Evette rose a brow when she casually mentioned that he might show up while they were busy. Did that mean that he would join them if he showed up?
