Who: Petunia, Peter & Siriusbaby What: Telling Peter about his crappy AU alter-egos. Where: Petunia & Peter's Unit in Psi When: Wednesday afternoon. Warnings: Probably emotional. Status: In progress.
Petunia had known it couldn't last for long, Peter not knowing about what happened to him in the other worlds, but the idea of having to tell him just made her so uncomfortable. It was partially because she still didn't really believe it, didn't believe that any version of her sweet, kind, wonderful husband could have done such things. It was also because she just hated the thought of Peter knowing, of how he might react to this, and also to how others might treat him.
The last bit had already begun to happen, with Jane Potter on the journals being unnecessarily rude to Peter. She understand why the woman was upset at her version of Peter, but didn't think it fair for her to take it out on their Petey. After all, if she had been angry at James for something, she wouldn't have yelled at Jane for it. There was a version of her nephew here who was supposedly some evil wizard's heir, but she didn't think they'd appreciate it if someone attacked Hannah because of it.
But now wasn't the time to think about things like that, now was the time to think about Peter. Closing her journal and setting it aside, Petunia crossed the room to sit behind her husband on the couch. She shifted close enough so that their legs were touching, and reached out to rest her hand her hand on his thigh. "Sirius is going to come, I think... and then we can try explaining everything." She hesitated for a second and then added in a softer tone, "Are you alright, love?"
