Food. Everwhere she looked there was food. Her room had apparantly turned into edible items while she was asleep, and after staring at the very large piece of pepperoni that had at once time been her mirror for long enough Hannah knew that she had to get out of there. Take a walk. Something. Having food practically staring her down wasn't a bad thing, but she didn't want to wind up smelling like food and have a wild marshmallow monster start chasing her if she went outside. And given where they were and that scientist's descriptions of the Swedish Fish, she really wasn't sure she wanted to tempt fate.
And that was a word she really had to stop using: Fate. Especially here. She didn't believe in it, but it had been seemingly guiding her for so long that fact of her being in denial when she apparantly did have one... It was like a face poking out the eyes to spite the face. It didn't make sense and yet it was one of the only things that she did hold to now. When she'd arrived she'd thought that she was stuck. But now... now she wasn't sure. Being here, in this place, this candy world, and Salem before that and the Dino World before that.
They were being used like puppets. Not something that Hannah was unfamiliar with, but something she'd fought against back home, only to give in and find herself here. It was something she'd gone over time and time again in her head. So many people from so many different places and timelines, but to what end game? There was always an end game. The trick was figuring out what it was. If they played along like good little Lemmings would they be sent home? Would their minds be wiped? She didn't think that she would want to forget. No. None of it... Maybe Salem, but even then...
Outside in the compound there were hints of what world they'd flipped into. Candy dropped in the hallways, chocolate footprints from that river, blue candy (from the Thetas?). The Deltas were talking funny and it was amusing, like something out of an old book. It was almost like they were supposed to just forget about it. And, most people were - at least the outside - trying to. Hannah was herself. Or she was trying. She'd done it before, she could do it again. Out here - away from the food that currently made up her quarters - things were calm. Whethet it was real or not she didn't know, but they'd take it. Even if it was only temporary.
The candy seemed to actually be a trail which turned into a line of candy wrappers. The question was why and where was it going. This had been in one of the fairy tales she'd read as a kid, still, she couldn't keep herself from stopping. She could hear people laughing, but she didn't understand it until she got closer. And that's when she saw it. Remus Lupin. Purple Suit. Orangy top hat. Dressed as Willy Wonka from the film? She only saw his back, but as she got closer she saw just how authentic the costume was... She couldn't help it. She laughed. The hat, the coat... It was amazing and absolutely out of the norm.
"I need to get the name of your tailor." she said with an amused smile, calming down, walking up behind him.
