It's still really hard to believe. This place looks so much like where I grew up on the outside and the house... It's exactly like I remember it. I haven't seen much of it recently, been too busy staying at HQ. I have to admit that when I was brought here I never thought I'd see it again...

I've been thinking about maybe getting a job at the Apothecary's while we're here. Getting my mastery... I have to say that I'm still rather curious as to why we're here. But I've been looking through old entries and it seems to be a question that permeates. If we don't get answers, maybe here we can at least build a little. Literally. ~~Wish you were here Sev. After being here as long as you have, it's nice to have a place to hang your hat. How are you, Lily and the boys settling in? I saw Remus returned. Looks like things are looking up.

I was wondering. You know me well, James, I can tell, wouldn't have nicknamed you otherwise (by the way I think it fits perfectly! Do I still owe you cake?) if I had questions, about my future, would you answer them? There were some things that weren't quite clear. Names that I can't identify.

Bloody hell, you saved my life last month... not that you'd know that? Different world? New language to get used to now that I'm here. I'll get it eventually. So which of the worlds are you from?

I'm very glad for that. I don't think I'd do half as well here on my own. Oh don't get me wrong, I'd find a way to survive, you know we Evans women, strong and independent, but things are so much more fun with friends! Family.

Oh! I see how it is. So it's a cake toll then? Well, you know more than I do at this point. If I'm honest, I'm a little bit afraid to ask. Lestrange says that I'm dead, and other than the fact that I hate him and he hates me, I don't really see any reason that it can hurt me to be anything but prepared. If death is coming, then I'll face it. Use the old Gryffindor stubbornness and face it in the eye as it comes.

But not in mine, and not in yours. I don't know when you die in your world. Preferably never, if I had my way.

The Inferi would see us L. Evanses/Potters coming and run in the opposite direction. The trick is making sure there's a cliff or a deep hole in their way so we can try to trap them.

That is more than gracious of you, James! Thank you. Cake and questions and tea... and depending on the questions something stronger? Voldemort? ...it was that prophecy wasn't it. I knew it was going to be trouble when Albus told us about it. Prophecies never bring anything good. At least not without there being severe consequences attached to them. That's sweet, thank you. I appreciate the thought. Personally I'm not all that up on dying myself, though I keep poking at Lestrange so perhaps I do have something of a death wish... ~~Bastard!~~

The prophecy, yeah. In the worlds where you marry me-- or a lot of them, anyway-- you and I die protecting Harry from Voldemort. Things went a little differently in my world, and the prophecy was about Neville Longbottom. And in yours, you didn't end up marrying me, so you never had a kid that Voldemort would want to kill. (I'm totally worth it, just so you know.)

I did see that... One of the reasons I thought that I might be dead in my world (someone mentioned that I'm a professor?!) In my world I've still defied Voldemort three times, but... the child is Neville as well. He and Alice and Frank are currently in hiding. Actually we just got back from checking on them when I arrived - you and me, I mean. Thus why I thought this was one of your pranks, I literally stepped through the doorway and found myself in medical. Bloody confusing way to start things. I nearly attacked a member of the medical staff. (That you are. I wouldn't put up with you if you weren't James. And don't you forget that!)

And Harry, in your world? He's alright? And Neville? What about the others? I saw that Remus came back, I'd recognize his handwriting anywhere. Peter was saying that in some worlds he betrays us - the other us-es but that hasn't happened in my world. And between you and me I pray that it doesn't.

So... there are these references in the journal to people named Greta? Wesley? I don't know anyone by those names...

No, no candy bribe. I used to think like that, but these days I usually chalk that one up to one of Dumbledore's underhanded manipulative moves.

Harry's alright, he's alive. He'll get his mum and Sirius back, and he'll get a little brother. Neville's alive, but he doesn't have his parents. I don't know what happened to him, to be honest. I fell out of touch with the Order not long after that happened.

Peter does that in some worlds. Including mine, but the funny thing about my world is that the Death Eaters are playing a hell of a lot of mind games, so I don't know if he did it on purpose or was brainwashed into it, the way Sirius and Lily were turned against us. If it can happen to them, it could have just as easily happened to Pete. So I don't know.

Those are your future kids, Red.

Oh Albus... He always did have some kind of ulterior motive. Not always the best ones, but he wouldn't have been Albus without his secrets. For better or for worse. And it almost worked.

Mindgames always were their favorite thing, but I've never heard of them doing it so forcefully. I can't imagine what you, Harry and Remus went through, James. But I'm very glad that at least here it's over. Back home, we've been lucky. Everyone's been sticking together, but we all have our questions as to how long it will last. We've been at war for so long it sometimes looks like it isn't going to end. You know Peter saved my life a few months back?

	I had hoped there might be a way to change the name of the world. It feels like a lot of pressure having your future self be the face of a whole universe.
