Although it had been nearly a week since they'd come to this world, Ginny had preferred for the most part to stay inside the Compound. It was at least slightly more familiar to her, and she felt like it might be safer inside the walls, where there were no people inside of her head. She'd had more than enough of that for one lifetime, though from how people had talked, it had happened before. Which meant it would happen again, if she stayed here. So her options were to stay here with the potential to have her mind invaded a third time and possible more than that, or to go home where she would then die. Neither was appealing, but she was taking her chances with the gamble of possession rather than the certainty of death. Maybe that made her a coward; she wasn't sure yet. And until she got it all figured out, she wasn't sure she was fit to seek out time with her family. She'd already lashed out at Freddy and was going to have to make up for that, she didn't want to inflict herself on anyone else.
But staying within the walls was starting to get to her, and she'd always loved the snow and outdoors. There was plenty of space, enough that she could find her own spot, slightly out of the way but not too far from the Compound, to enjoy a mug of cocoa while Arcas, her pet polar bear, gambolled through the snow. He was all too happy to be not only outside but also closer to his natural habitat, and his happier mood was helping Ginny as well. Deciding even the slight exercise would be better for her than using magic, she'd hand-built a small snow-chair to sit in along with a small resting spot for her mug, and she perched there with the help of some warming charms modified to keep her from absorbing the coldness from the snow but not melt the chair while she occasionally tossed out snowballs for the small bear to chase.
