Who: Molly and Sirius Black, Babyworld What: Reunions! When: Backdated to December 1 Where: Their quarters. Why: Sirius hasn't seen Molly for a MONTH! Rating: Not sure yet.
A month. It was a difficult concept for Molly to wrap her head around. And while it seemed unlikely and far fetched, it had happened. Molly wasn't certain what disturbed her more: whether it was the fact that she had been taken away from her family without her realizing it or the fact that - despite how they liked the scientists (and they did), that this could happen again, that this could be done to them any time.
She'd never really had a problem making a place into a home, she'd done that with the Burrow when she and Arthur had first moved there and again with Grimmauld Place once she and Sirius had gotten married, but here... It was almost a slap on the wrist, or a small jab that took you out of a dream. A reminder that although this was home, control wasn't yours. Or not as much yours as a person might want.
Molly could only imagine what had happened in her absence. Astro's replies, Sirius' replies, she and Astrid had been gone. Nowhere to be found. On their side of things, while their loved ones had been there... they hadn't actually been there. Something had seemed off, and now she knew exactly what it was. As she walked through the compound - now shaped like a ski lodge, similar to one the two of them had gone to on a vacation... the one when her brothers had insisted upon taking Bill, Charlie and Percy off their hands for a bit of Uncles-Nephews time - and then later with all of them - there was only one thing that she wanted. One thing that really made sense. Her family, her center.
Molly wasn't really the greatest when it came to sneaking around, but she certainly had her moments. She'd learned early on that it was a necessary skill, especially when you had sleeping children in the middle of their naps. Children with sensitive ears.
And husbands.
It took her a bit to find their assigned quarters as the rooms had been moved, but upon locating them, Molly was very careful coming in. She wanted to see Sirius, more than almost anything at that moment, but spoiling the game wouldn't help with that... She kept her ears open. He could be Padfoot, he could be Sirius... there was unfortunately no way for her to know for certain!
