Who: Sirilla Black and Jane S. Potterswap
What: a Sirius conversation (ba dum tsh)
Where: near the mayor's office
When: Friday, early afternoon
Rating/Status: low. May have done language. In progress.
If there was one thing Jane hated (other than frilly dresses and ketchup), it was seeing her family in pain. It was even worse when she had the sinking feeling that she was the one inflicting it, as unintentional as it might be. Sirilla had been avoiding her since she said something that was vaguely supportive of her brother and Toma's whatever it was, and she had the feeling that it had really hurt her aunt.
Even if that wasn't her concern at the time, it certainly was now. For Jane, yes, her priority would always be Alby and his happiness. It was just how big sisters operated. But that didn't mean she cared for her aunt any less. She had lost everything, and though Jane couldn't relate to that, she could relate to missing her family.
Eyes wide open as she and Connie scoped out the Mayor, her face lit up with a small smile as she approached her mother's godmother.
"Good day, Madame Mayor!" she greeted more cheerily than she felt. Jane could feel her hands shaking nervously, desperately wishing she could avoid this conversation entirely. It had to be done, though, that she knew. She was an adult. She could do this.
"Have you been avoiding me, Aunt Sirilla?"
