If it were up to Remus, he wouldn't even be wasting his time attending the school every day. Arthur Lee, however, found it imperative to go to school. In fact the boy that was invading his head and influencing his actions preferred to arrive early and stay late. Something about preferring school breakfasts to his own Mothers (which he couldn't necessarily blame the kid since he knew he could make far better waffles) and needing to study for his ACTs. His bag was full of prep books for the test and he had a feeling no matter how hard he tried to ignore the influence, he would have his nose buried in a book that evening, while trying to master algorithms.
As he walked down the street, his eyes bounced from house to house, scooping out the various individuals he saw. Some were getting in or out of cars, some were sitting on the porch, some were playing in the front yards. Many looked unfamiliar to him but every now and then he spotted someone who looked familiar. He didn't approach any of them, however, because he was still trying to get his head around two facts he had learned from James' crash course on what was going on. Many of those who looked familiar were not of his world and there was a possibility they might not actually know him. And then, secondly, he had been a staple prior to returning. He had made friends with many people, evidently, but he didn't know who. And he didn't really know how he wanted to handle that.
Of course, he wasn't very well expecting to see a version of Sirius so soon. He hadn't yet run into one at the school but he supposed it was only a matter of time. There were what? Five? And his eyes locked in on one across the street as his pace slowed down, gripping his bag's strap tighter, quite evidently looking at the man with uncertainty. One of them, one of the four male ones, he had evidently gotten close with.
He just didn't know which.
And he didn't know how he felt about it. The Sirius from his world was there, but he had fallen for another, and he had been adamant about staying with that one. Yet he had no recollection or memory of it. It made his head hurt and he had been trying to ignore it. But he couldn't tear his eyes away.
