Jayne was tired. School had been...boring. She preferred the lessons she learned at her old school. She was tired from trying to be Jayne when Cindy fought to be in control. She wondered if this was how it felt when you were abducted by aliens. With the help of Dora, Jayne had located some cookies that her pretend daddy had made and took some over to the window seat, curling up next to her sister. She was glad that someone remembered that she was born and not all of the wibbly wobbly timey wimey stuff made everyone forget her.

Holding out a cookie to Dora, she hummed quietly - a song their parents always used to sing to help them fall asleep at night. If they ran out of cookies, she would just get up and get more of them.

After a moment, she turned to look at her sister. "Is it tiring for you to be Dora instead of the other person in your head? I tried to use tinfoil to keep her out, but that only works for aliens and I don't think Cindy is an alien...even if she's not in the right body. Also they don't teach the same things."

Dora had experienced her weirdest day in this place to date, though that wouldn't take much since this was only day three. After walking with Jayne and RJ to school, she'd prepared herself for a day of lessons in a place that wasn't used to her ... quirks. But it had never happened. Patricia had suddenly taken over, and Dora was sitting in the back of her own body, watching things unfold. Patricia knew everyone, it seemed, and she had something to say almost all of them. And when it was time for lessons, Patricia actually paid attention. It was strange to see it happening, and even as she felt her own mind wandering, it was impossible for her to do anything about it. When she tried, Patricia put her right back into her place. Dora thought it might have to do with the school being Patricia's turf. She knew every Tom, Dick, and Harry, and none of the faces were all that recognizable to Dora, though she knew some of them were also people who'd been taken like she had been. Truth be told she was a little grateful that she'd been able to zone out, because of what she'd been told about not fitting into the mold, but it was a little scary at the same time.

It was a fight to get Patricia to wait for Jayne at the end of the day, but seeing her sister again gave Dora an advantage that she seized. She wanted that feeling to last, and since she didn't know the people in 'her' house, either, she'd let herself into the Robinson's home to stay with Jayne for a bit. She was curled up at the window seat, looking out at a scene that would have been picture perfect, if there had been any color to it at all. She pulled her sister into her lap before taking the cookie and biting into it. "Cheers, Jayne."

She was glad for the cookie after Jayne's question, using the time she needed to chew to come up with an appropriate answer. She couldn't tell Jayne everything that was happening, she had to keep her positive and upbeat. "It can be, sometimes. But being around you helps me. Lots of things are different here, that's why they teach different things. But sometimes it can be fun to learn different things, yea? What did you learn today?"

Jayne was a lot more comfortable around her sister and her aunt and brother than when she was with anyone else. They knew that she was Jayne and not Cindy and it made Cindy quieter, so she was glad to have them around. She made herself comfortable in her sister's lap and tried to think happy things. Talk about pictures.

"It's easier to make her quiet when you're here." And she was trying to remember the lessons. "Maths and Reading...and the geography of Pleasantville...which is apparently only TWO STREETS." She made a face. "But nowhere is only TWO STREETS." Yes it is. Are you stupid? Jayne frowned at Cindy. "She's not very nice when she's upset but she's nice to all of her friends at school."

"Did you have fun at school?"

"Same here, kiddo," Dora admitted, hugging her sister closer and resting her head on the top of Jayne's. It was strange that Jayne was so young, but at least Dora remembered her at this age. She didn't know anything about the time between her current time and RJ's. "We had the same lessons, and the same two streets," she fought to remember any of what 'she'd' learned, but Jayne's recounting helped job her memory. "I thought it was weird, too." She wouldn't have been able to question it, not with Patty taking over. Patty accepted the whole thing as truth.

"Patty knows just about everyone, so it wasn't too bad." That was the truth, in a way. Dora'd really just zoned so much she hardly remembered anything specific. And she wasn't going to let Jayne know how much that scared her. "These cookies are pretty good. But it's weird that they're grey."

Everything here was strange and grey. At least the food mostly tasted the same. At least RJ hadn't gotten his amoebas in her drinks here. "Cindy knows lots of people, too. She talked to all of the people in our classes." Which made it easier to get around things when Jayne didn't know people. "It's really strange to have grey food. When we get back to somewhere with colour, we should make lots of colourful foods. I bet Maman-daddy and Daddy-maman would help us...and Aunt Mini."

There was a brief pause before, "There was dust in my water last night." Which wouldn't make sense to anyone else but Dora and RJ and was a little out of place...even for Jayne. No one else understood that problem.

"Rainbow fairy cakes!" Dora declared with a grin, tickling Jayne's sides lightly. "And salads with all kinds of colorful things in them, like radishes and beets and red cabbage and corn. And we'll have a color party, where you have to dress as your favorite color. We'll be so sick of colors by the time we're done, our eyes will hurt."

Her heart dropped into her stomach at Jayne's admission, though, and she hugged the younger girl tightly before whispering in her ear. "That doesn't mean aliens are coming. Even if you find hair in your water, or someone gets amoebas in it. Have I ever let anything bad happen to you?"

The tickling made Jayne squirm. When she tried to sound excited, it just came out as a shriek. "SO MANY COLOURS!" Jayne was far too excited for this...only she'd have to choose her favourite colour before then and she didn't know which one was her favourite. She liked all kinds of colours. Maybe orange and yellow to match her adventuring cap. "They will be very tired eyes and then we can have nerdy Sundays again and dress up in costumes and watch movies! Do you think the scientist people will let us watch them?" She certainly hoped so.

Jayne made a small noise at the hug, but nuzzled up to her sister. "I put my hat on to protect me from the aliens," she said quietly. "No." She peered up at Dora quietly for a moment. "At least RJ didn't get his amoebas in it."

"I bet if we ask them very nicely, they just might. If not, you can pout at them and I bet then they'll give us whatever we want, 'cause you're cute and little. And I think I might be able to Transfigure us some costumes. Or we can ask RJ. And every day can be Nerdy Sunday!" Dora had a feeling it might be harder to figure out than that, but who knew when they'd even see color again? Might as well stay positive.

"RJ's amoebas are the worst! But your hat will definitely protect you, and so will I, and so will Aunt Mini, and RJ. And Great-Gran will, too. You've got so many protectors! Nothing will go wrong." No one else seemed convinced that nothing would go wrong, though. She could feel the tension sometimes, and she hoped Jayne wasn't picking up on it. She had always been a perceptive thing, though. Luckily, she had no filter, so it was generally easy to tell what she was thinking about.

"I hope so!" Jayne wanted to have movies and watch them all because they were lots of fun. Her eyes grew wide at the last thing Dora said, "EVERY DAY?" She was excited about that. She didn't know if that would make it less special but she liked the idea of Nerdy Sundays being every day. "THAT WOULD BE FUN! OR!!" She paused for a moment, thinking about it. "We can count how many Nerdy Sundays we miss because of the no colours and then have that many Nerdy Sundays to make up for it before going back to normal Nerdy Sundays. WE HAFTA TELL RJ!" Because clearly RJ would be excited about Nerdy Sundays.

"He's got really fast amoebas and they get EVERYWHERE!" Jayne fell into a fit of laughter at the idea of amoebas with RJ's face on them. "And Maman-daddy and Daddy-maman!" Jayne wasn't unaware of the tension, but she was just trying to do things to make it happier instead of being upset because she could fix it if she just got them to be happy again!

"Of course we'll tell RJ! It's not Nerdy Sunday without him, now is it?" Of course, it wasn't Nerdy Sunday without their parents, either. Dora was going to make RJ come, no matter what. Jayne was too young to disappoint like that. "And I like the idea of counting much better. So far we've missed one, so we'll make a note of that."

"I think his amoebas came to Hogwarts with me, before he was old enough to go! They are wide-spread amoebas," Dora grinned to see Jayne in the midst of a gigglefit. "Yup, them too! And about a billion others. You're totally surrounded. There are Grans, and Grampas, and Great-Grandpas and cousins and aunts and uncles!"

"IT'S NOT!" Cause they had to ALL THREE be there. That was the point. Even if their parents wouldn't be there. Maybe their daddy-maman and maman-daddy would come and aunt mini. "We can write it down, but I'll probably amember." She shrugged slightly. She remembered numbers mostly.

"OH NO! I bet even the HOUSE ELVES got them! It must be IN ALL THE FOOD! YOU ARE EATING RJ'S AMOEBAAAAASSSS!" Which was both funny and gross at the same time. "Surrounded with no way out. This is a time for Jayne Cobb...only not really cause I don't wanna punch any of them."

"I've been writing Mum and Dad letters, in case they get here and want to know things, or if we leave and they come, they'll know we were here. I'll make sure to note when it's a Sunday, and that way we'll know for sure how many we need to have," Dora explained. It also just made her feel better, to write out the things that were happening, and to speak to her parents like they were actually there.

"They totally got the house elves and it's probably in all the bathrooms! Showering in amoebas! Eating them!" It was actually really gross, if 'RJ amoebas' were an actual thing. Dora was glad they weren't. "I hope you don't want to punch any of us! You're surrounded with no way out by love. Which ... I don't think Jayne Cobb would like unless it was girl-type love."

"You HAVE? We can write them letters?" Jayne hadn't thought about writing letters. "TELL THEM I LOVE THEM LOTS AND LOTS AND LOTS!" She didn't really know what else to write to them but she wanted them to know that she loved them a lot.

"YOU HAVE RJ AMOEBAS! I AM INFECTEEEED!" She squirmed and flailed a little before pretending to die. It only lasted a little while though before she was back to her alive self. She'd still have to tell Aunt Mini to clean her dress cause RJ's amoebas probably got all over it. "I don't! It's cause he wants to have sex like maman and daddy only he doesn't want to get married when he has it. Cindy thinks he's gonna get a BAD REPUTATION!"

"I don't know if it'll do anything or if they'll get to see them, but it's worth a try, yea?" Dora grinned at her enthusiasm. "Of course I will, silly. And that we miss them and we can't wait to see them again. All of the things."

"Not anymore! I gave them all to you! With no take-backs. You're just one amoeba away from becoming one yourself!" She let Jayne flop over, making sure the girl wouldn't fall off her lap, but not doing anything to force her upright. "He does want to have sex like mum and dad. He's fast according to Patty. He'll never marry a nice girl that way and then what will he do!"

"I bet they like letters cause you send letters when you're at school and they think they're the bees knees!" Which was a phrase Cindy seemed to like. Jayne wasn't sure if bees had knees but that was okay. "YES! ALL OF THOSE THINGS!!" Cause she did miss her Maman and Daddy. She didn't want to be sad about it all the time because then Dora and RJ would be sad, too.

"NOOOOOOOOOO!" She was going to have to find someone else to give them to. She should just give them back to RJ! "HE'S REALLY FAST! I don't think he wants to get married to a nice girl cause he likes bad girls!"
