day 7: 360 WHO: Regina Black and Kirley Duke WHEN: Wednesday morning WHERE: beach cabin WHAT: awkward morning after WARNINGS: TBD
With a sigh, Reg opened up her wardrobe. She was still in her bathing suit from the day before, and really needed to change. But what would she wear? Coffee and breakfast with Duke, and Sirius said she should be irresistible. What did that even mean? What does one wear to coffee after an awkward morning after some intensely heavy drunken petting to look irresistible? Running a hand through her hair, she chose a clean swim suit, just in case, a knee length skirt, and a simple tank top. It wasn't exactly what she would have called irresistible, but it was beachy and showed off her shoulders. She had always gone for innocence over irresistibility anyway. This was as good as it was going to get.
Lettin Madeleine out to play, the monkey hadn't liked being cooped up in Reg's room alone all night, she made her way out of the compound and down to the beach, holding her sandals in her hands, feeling the sand between her toes as she walked.
It didn't take long to the find the hammock they'd slept in, the empty bottle of rum still in the sand underneath. Reg groaned and kept on walking to the cabin close by, dreading what was to come. What would they even say to each other? She couldn't pretend like something didn't happen. Sure, they hadn't slept together that night because she'd had the sense to say no, surprisingly, but with their past and the state of their relationship, what had happened almost seemed like a bigger deal to her than actually having sex. She was more conflicted than ever.
The cabin was small, but just the right size for two people. After a few minutes of exploration, Reg moved out onto the patio where a small table and two chairs was waiting, an umbrella set up to give people some shade but not in a way to disrupt their view of the ocean. Taking a seat at the table, Reg curled her legs under her and looked out at the water, trying to figure out exactly what she would say to Duke when he got there.
