"I know you love me, Sirius," James said, tousling his friend's hair. "I never doubted that for a second." He'd not doubted it even when he'd seen the rage on Sirius's face, even when Sirius had walked away from him. His faith in Sirius was absolute, and rightfully so, based on how everything had turned out for them.
He considered the question, turning it over and over in his sleepy mind. "Mm," he murmured agreeably, after a moment. "I think I am. I wish I could get one of those pensieve memories out of my brain, and I still think it's a little weird that Lily and I are playing house with Snape..." He chuckled a little at that. "But I'm good. I'm really good. What about you?"
