Tall girls were often considered very beautiful in school. Louise had been very pretty as well, despite her height. But she had rarely wished to be taller, even in her tall family. She was easy to pick up and carry away, if they so wished and she weren't objecting. Lou didn't object to such treatment from her brothers, whom she adored. Her smile was excited to hear from her Papa Maman. "Oui, I like wearing heels. I came here in slippers though, so no such luck," Louise explained, "Maman is very tall and very beautiful. You, Papa I mean, has always liked her face and her scars. I think they are striking." Her tone was positive, having picked it up from her Papa that her Maman was perfect, beautiful, and she was in a way Lou knew she wasn't, when she spent too much time thinking about it. Maman was beautiful without anything ... unusual to blame for it.
"Oui, Maman, Papa, and Victorien all work for Gringotts," Lou replied, "I did not mind how I was treated until they told me I could not be an accountant." She paused, chewing on the inside of her cheek for a moment before she continued, "They did not say that was why I couldn't get the job. They said I was good with people and should have that kind of position." She sighed, followed by a bit of a frown. They had not even looked at her application and seen all she had done in the previous year, to master accounting.
Then she looked up at Papa Maman and smiled, "It is muggle, oui. They don't know that I am a witch. Mostly they use computers, so I don't have to travel for it. It's only on special occasions that I travel for work, but I like them very much." Her ability to do a very good amount of math in her head on the spot, or with a pen and paper, helped.
