"Sirius," Remus answered, his desperation fairly obvious. He pushed himself to his feet and hurried over to where Sirius was. He wrapped his arms around the other tightly almost right away, leaning close so that he could press a kiss to Sirius' mouth.
It wasn't as if he had dreaded the time he was in the world -- it was more the onslaught of emotions that had hit him when he had surfaced again. To realize what he had been living without, and the swell of sensation he'd felt toward Sirius as soon as he knew himself again. He couldn't imagine living like that -- not ever knowing, and he knew that their world was one of the difficult ones, but he would take a difficult life while loving Sirius than any other without loving him.
He closed his eyes for a moment, remaining close to Sirius, reveling of him -- and in the emotion that crested in his chest as he was near him.
"I love you," Remus murmured, and he knew that Sirius knew that, but Remus didn't feel like he could ever tell him that enough.
