Juni pouted a bit, trying to keep the tears at bay. She buried her face into his chest and held onto him tightly as if she was five years old all over again. "I didn't even do anything." That was what upset her the most. Juni could understand if she had done something wrong, but talking to a friend and being approached in the way Cindy had did not go over well with Juni.
When she heard her dad promise everything was going to be okay, Juni was able to breath a littler better than she had before. There was not a time in her life where her father said it was going to be okay and it wasn't. "I know...but...I was just being friendly. Liam is nice and he's nice to talk to. He taught me how to dance. We're just friends. And then his daughter...approached me..asking who I was then started assuming that I was like the slags back from where they are. I get it. She was doing it to protect her dad but...it was wrong. She didn't need to say those things to me. I'm not like those girls."
Juni frowned a bit and looked up at her dad. "I'm sorry."
