If it were possible, his grin grew when Padfoot barked in his direction. It had been so long since he had seen the dog. Sure, he had seen the other Sirius' turn into the beloved black dog, particularly during shifts, but it wasn't quite the same. It wasn't his proper Padfoot.
He watched him for a brief moment as he licked at his palm before he shifted, his arms reaching out to scoop up the dog in an embrace. He was drawn close this chest, as he fell back upon the floor, not caring in the slightest that he was covered in mud and thus would be as well. Instead, he hugged him close, and pressed his lips against the side of his head, giving him a loud and audible kiss, as his fingers moved down to scratch at all the favored spots he remembered from years ago.
