Remus was enjoying the lazy atmosphere that he could indulge in with Hogwarts. It was not as fast paced as the other flips and he was allowed time to enjoy himself as he liked. He could sleep in. He could catch up on reading. He could socialize. He had freedom that was a nice break from all the previous flips. So many different worlds he had seen. This was a nice break in his mind and he was curled underneath the covers, flipping idly through his journal, but with little interest.
Perhaps he should have seen the canine coming, should have smelled him before his entrance, or even spotted the flash of black fur out of the corner of his eye. However, he did not, and it was only when the dog was on his bed, licking at his face and barking loudly, that Remus did notice. And then in a flash, it had leaped away, slipping under his bed. With nearly as quick of a response, the journal was thrown, flying across the room, and covers were kicked away as the man dropped from the bed to his knees, prying underneath the bed, a grin as wide as he could manage displayed with no resistance.
He, indeed, did know why this was such a momentous notion. While he had initially tried to place some space between himself and Sirius, as he tried to figure out all manor of approach, that was long gone. He could have his friend once again and not feel guilt about a future he had yet to experience while he found new happiness. And that meant he had been told of everything that was going on. Of course, it had been mentioned to him that Sirius was unable to shift into Padfoot, something of which Remus found truly alarming. And there was no doubt in his mind as he gazed upon the dog that this was his Padfoot.
