"Well..they really do get a divorce, which kinda sucks but I guess if it doesn't work it doesn't work but.." Juni's voiced trailed off into silence. This wasn't the case with her parents. They were just simply, and literally, separated. Her father was alone and it only made sense that he had to learn to be on his own. She sat quietly, staring at her french toast.
It was slightly upsetting that her father had to come to this conclusion but in all its complexity, he didn't seem so saddened by it.
"She's not here, daddy. It wouldn't be fair to keep you miserable for sake of mum not being here. I know you wouldn't want that for me if I was in your position." With a sigh, she smiled a bit and took a bite from her cold french toast. "I want you happy. You've already done so much for us back home that it would be selfish of me to say anything different."
