"I don't know, Juni," Peter said. He gave her a slight smile. "And I... I really don't know. I wasn't even thinking about that until Hestia said she was using her own name again, and then I started wondering whether I'm still-- I don't know." He ran a hand through his hair. "Obviously, if she'd left us back home, I'd go after her, you know-- find out what was wrong, try to figure it out. I can't ask her what happened, though, because she isn't here."
He paused and covered her hand with both of his. "I'll give her the benefit of the doubt, that she didn't actually ask the scientists to take her away from me. But it still means that she wasn't suited to the life here, and that's a life that I want to try to have, and I don't expect her to be here with me. So that's something I'm going to have to work out on my own, unfortunately." He tilted his head to look at her. "If you have any opinion on that, Juni, I definitely want to hear what you think."
