When: Last night. Yule Ball stuffs.
What: Yule Ball...duh.
Rating/Status: TBD/Incomplete

Did Olivia want to be here? Yes and no. There was a match early in the morning and all she could think about was what they could have worked on more. They're weak spots and how they could possibly cover those spots by playing stronger in other areas. They weren't given enough practice time and as much as she admired her own captain, she couldn't help but to bite her tongue. It was hard not to be captain but there was no way Olivia was going to step on toes. She played, she trained, she worked out more than she should and doodled offensive plays on her homework. At the very least, Olivia made sure to not let down her captain by being the most amazing keeper she had ever seen play.

Olivia stood there awkwardly in a simple green t-shirt and a black skirt with flats. She took up Mini on the advice and if she wasn't going to go in a dress, she at least owed it to Charlie to look like a girl rather than a tom-boy. He had embarrassed her, after all. "I'm sorry I'm not much of a dancer."

The guilt came again. It was well known in Olivia's time that when Quidditch was in season, she had no other focus other than the game. She was doing her best to not let it show. Olivia wanted to be there with Charlie, she even went as far as to say she liked him, of which she did. More than she let on. "We can go dance if you want..or..." Olivia gave a shrug of the shoulders. She didn't do this much and it showed.

Charlie was standing beside Olivia with his hands shoved deep into the pockets of his slacks. He had worn the same slacks he had been wearing underneath his uniform during this flip and only managed to go out of his way to find a tie that would match Olivia's choice in shirt color. He glanced towards her when she spoke and simply shrugged his shoulders lightly.

"I don't mind," he told her with a reassuring smile. He felt a bit guilty himself. He had hoped she would enjoy the time in the Ball but now he was feeling as if he was keeping her from where she would rather be.

"Music isn't that great anyways," he then said, glancing to her.

"Nah. It could be better I suppose." She held her hands together behind her back, feeling awkward. Olivia had told him she liked him, only to hear nothing back. And now, she was standing there as if she didn't want to be there at all. "I'm shite at this stuff." Olivia confessed. "I'm not good at dances or getting pretty and I'm a bit preoccupied and worried about the match tomorrow. These scientists have a funny schedule and I don't like it."

Olivia looked over at him and gave a smile. "But I'm really glad you asked me to go and not somebody else."

Charlie hadn't said anything in response because he had thought she already knew how he was feeling. Of course, he didn't know that she was feeling awkward now either. Or at least the reason. He felt terribly awkward. This really did not feel like them at all.

"Well, I think you are pretty without trying. Especially in your practice clothes," he told her earnestly. Then he beamed toward her. "I don't think I would have asked anyone else. I probably wouldn't have gone at all."

Olivia blushed a bit, leaning onto one foot, and for once, appearing shy. "Yeah?" She looked down and began to blush more. No. None of this suited either of them well. She looked at him only to find Charlie beaming at her. "Well it was nice to be embarrassed publicly."

She decided to be bold. Olivia wasn't a dancer, she wasn't much of a social person, and she wasn't about to changing it now. "Did you want to stay or should we go somewhere else? We could dance to our own music elsewhere? Or..something else?"
