The voice came out of nowhere, accompanied by an obvious figure getting closer; Greta could see her out of the corner of her eye, and she flinched out of surprise. She recovered quickly, slipping her wand away, out of sight. This was someone she did not know and did not trust, and even if the wand was lacking in power Greta wasn't about to go telling everyone she was in possession of it.
"I was only looking for one of Hogwart's many rumored secrets," she answered. Her words were clearly affected by an Eastern European accent that said English wasn't her first language. But the awe on her face was all about history and admitting that Hogwarts was a powerful castle. Older people usually cared or respected trivial things like buildings.
Then again, Greta would never refuse a bit of knowledge. "Do you know much about it?"
