Cindy Rivers is not going to bite you...hard. (cindyoume) wrote in flippedrpg,
"More than simple buffness," Cindy teased, sitting back a little bit more. "You're someone who cares. That's what really matters."
She noticed him tense, and took his hand, loosely gripping it. "Hey. It's life, and it happened. I'm okay." She knew that she had it better than most who were bitten; that some became weapons for both sides of the war. Cindy was lucky enough to never have been in that particular situation, that Liam had taken her in. "Wouldn't blame ya. She kind of reminds me of Jenny. Have I told you about her? She was my younger sister. When they found her..." she trailed off, unsure of what to say next. "She was so scared."
She listened to him carefully, not to dissect the information but to process it. For whatever reason, her heart began to hurt for Harry as he talked about himself. Cindy couldn't quite place it, which was disconcerting, so she put aside her plate and rested her head against his shoulder. "Growing up sucks. Honestly. I'd say to avoid it, but it'll just bite you in the arse."
Comfortable for the moment, she her head to glance at him. "So, how long was Johnny here? Are you comfortable talking about him?"
