![]() ![]() overview. It's time to go to Hogwarts! But we're not at the castle yet; first, you'll need to do some shopping. When Taken exit the compound on Wednesday morning, they'll find Diagon Alley outside its doors, ready for them to buy all of their school supplies! On Thursday they'll board the Hogwarts Express at Platform 9¾ and ride the train to Hogwarts, where the "firsties" (anyone amongst the Taken who has never been to Hogwarts before) will ride the boat across the lake and everyone else will take the Thestral-driven carriages up to the castle. The Hogwarts Castle is just like it is in the books, portraits and moving staircases and all, but the staff is a little different. In fact, with the exception of the gamekeeper Hagrid and caretaker Argus Filch (and his cat, Mrs Norris), there is no non-scientist staff at all. Miss Pie is the reigning Headmistress, with Mr Tau as her Deputy Headmaster; the Heads of Houses are Mr Gamma, Captain Epsilon, Dr Omicron, and Dame Zeta for Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, and Slytherin respectively; and Dr Upsilon has replaced Madam Pomfrey in the hospital wing. However, even though the normal castle staff is gone, the house ghosts are still around: the Fat Friar in Hufflepuff, the Bloody Baron in Slytherin, the Grey Lady in Ravenclaw, and Nearly Headless Nick in Gryffindor. Peeves the Poltergeist is also roaming around making mischief, and the Hogwarts house elves will be in the kitchens as usual, which can be discovered by anyone who knows the trick to get in. If asked, any of the non-Taken (Hagrid, Peeves, elves, etc.) will act like it's perfectly normal that the scientists are running things and that most of the student body is far too old to be in school. The scientists will also be teaching classes, and in their free time, the Taken have full use of their respective Common Rooms and dormitories, the Quidditch Pitch, the castle library, and everything else that the castle has to offer. If they've never been to Hogwarts, hopefully a more experienced student (we recommend any of the Marauders) will be willing to show them around so that they get the most out of the experience! time & events. DAY 1, WEDNESDAY: DIAGON ALLEY! Students (i.e. everyone) will receive lists of supplies to buy and an allowance to cover the costs. They are welcome to spend the rest of the day hanging out in the Alley once they've gotten everything they need. DAY 2, THURSDAY: A train ride, and a Sorting Ceremony. Everyone who has already been to Hogwarts in their own world will find that they have been randomly divided into houses and dormitories (click the tabs at the bottom to see the dorms) so that they're ready to welcome the first years into their new houses. Everyone will also receive their school schedule at the feast. DAY 3, FRIDAY: Classes begin, and so does the real Hogwarts world fun! All classes will be modified for individual knowledge levels, so that the beginners aren't left behind and those who've long since finished school still get a chance to learn something new. COMC: Dame Zeta DAYS 4 & 5, SATURDAY AND SUNDAY: HOGSMEADE WEEKEND! info the taken are given. 1. A Hogwarts letter, and a list of school supplies, as well as an allowance to buy them. Prefects, Head Students, and Quidditch Captains also receive badges with their letters! These items have been given out as of right now. 2. A uniform, in the colors of their houses, which they will receive on the train. First years will receive black robes that will change to the color of their house once they're sorted. 3. A class schedule, at the feast on Thursday night. |
