Who: Ron and Hermione Weasleycolor
Where: Their Unit in Pi(e)!
When: Sunday Afternoon
What: EPIC REUNION.
Warnings: Emotions and sappy times?

How had she managed for three months without her husband? Now that Ron was actually here, didn't think she was a revolting 12 year old and was definitely married to her and loved her, Hermione couldn't remember how she had done it. Sure she had her extended family around her, and Rosie for a while, which was wonderful. But Rose, surely enough, had gone back to her own time, leaving Hermione without her family again. It was hard not to feel a bit bitter with Harry, he had his all of his children in some form and Ginny, but she earnestly tried to not let it get to her, and she was pleased to say that no one had caught on to how she was feeling.

True to her word, Hermione ran from the cafeteria and back to Pi Block, heaving for breath as she cleared the last few yards to her--no their--unit. She took a deep breath, staring at the nameplate with her and her husband's names on them, smiling broadly as she opened the door.

Seeing him for the first time in all those months took her breath away. Thankfully, she had been expecting him to look about the way he did, so there was no denying that this was her Ron. Brushing the hair and tears that had clouded her vision, she flung herself at Ron, wrapping her form around his tightly as she kissed him.

"Do not," she warned him as she back away slightly, "ever leave me alone like that again." She knew that he couldn't help it, but it rang true. "I have missed you so much, it hurts."

Ron was actually a bit disappointed to be back to his right age. As much of a git as he'd admit to having been when he was young, he couldn't help but have a terrible feeling at going from 12, straight back to 37. He was old. And to make matters worse -- or better, he hadn't really decided yet -- Hermione was only 24. He didn't even know about Harry; for all he knew, Harry really was only ten in this world. That would be a severe disappointment.

He promised Hermione he'd stay in his unit, which he'd almost instantly regretted due to his roaring stomach. He'd debated sneaking off before she got there, and hunting down some sweets. He'd even gotten as far as stepping out the door to his unit. But, instantly, he decided better against it. Hermione would be furious with him -- and if there was one thing he was terrified of more than spiders, it was an angry Hermione.

When she came barging in through the door, she'd first catch sight of him through the bathroom door, staring at himself in the mirror. But, when he heard the door swing open, he pivoted on the heels of his shoes and spotted her. Though Hermione had aged well, it was still a shock to see her so much younger than he remembered her.

Wide grin spread itself across those slightly less-freckled features and he opened his arms up as she came running. He stumbled backwards into the bathroom sink when she collided into him, and wrapped his arms tight around his wife and embraced her and her kiss.

He barely let her move back when she tried, though, keeping his arms wrapped tight around her.

"Oi, you're the one that left your world! For all you know, I was sitting back there on our wedding day cursing your name for leaving me at the altar!" But he reassured her, regardless, leaning forward and pressing a kiss to her forehead. "If I'd known you were here, and I knew how to get here, I would've been here months ago. You alright?"

Hermione wasn't sure exactly how their marriage had gone, as she had been Taken not even six hours after they became officially husband and wife, but based on the fact that he wasn't letting her move, she assumed that it was going well. Her heart, that for so long felt an empty kind of ache, slowly began to feel as if it had been filling up again with every moment that she spent in Ron's presence.

She let her hand wander to his face, tracing the familiar yet unfamiliar features of his face, running her fingers through his hair before resting her arms around his neck. She had no complaints with how Ron had aged, he looked amazing and Hermione smiled appreciatively, kissing him softly again.

"Silly man, as if I'd let myself be taken away from you before it was official. It happened after our first dance. I thought you dropped me when you dipped me." Hermione sighed happily, resting her head against his chest and inhaling deeply. Was it really possible to miss the way a person smelled? Because she really, honestly did.

"I know that, love," she told him sincerely. "Where you go, I will go," she recited, recalling the part of her wedding vows, "And I know it was the same for you."

Hermione nodded, hugging him closer to her still. "I'm alright, but I'm so much better now that you're here."

He wrinkled his face up a bit as her fingers started tracing lines across it. He thought he felt old before, right after having been 12 again for a few days, but now he was really feeling it. Seeing Hermione so young, as shining as she was on their wedding day. And here he was, 13 years later. Exhausted, high cholesterol (he wasn't going to fill her in on that, though, because she'd only say she told him so). But none of that mattered.

Ron was happy that she didn't remember what actually happened. He remembered that moment perfectly, but not for good reason. When he'd dipped her, he'd spotted a spider dangling from the ceiling just in front of his face. Of course, he freaked, and accidentally let Hermione slip right to the floor. She was enraged. And so was Ron, moments later, when he realized George had been behind it all.

"Where you go, I go. Obviously. I'm just a little late sometimes," he paused, grinning, "No surprise there, right?"

He tightened his embrace on her when she leaned in closer, not even attempting to move from his pinned up spot against the sink. He fell quiet for a moment, lowering his head and turning it sideways so the side of his face rested against the top of her head, nestled into that formerly bushy head of hair.

Then, he couldn't resist. "You really think I'd drop you?! No faith!" Of course, the statement wasn't nearly as convincing as he'd like it to be. He was never very good at lying to Hermione, and she'd certainly see right through his attempt.

"Stop that," Hermione chided gently, smoothing the wrinkles from his face. "I need to memorize you." She hadn't forgotten what he looked like; that wasn't the issue at all. Hermione simply wanted to have this image of her husband with her, to get her through if ever he were to leave. "You're perfect."

And he was. The time felt like an eternity as she sat alone in her block every night, the difficulty she had sleeping was only emphasized without Ron there to help her fall asleep. Hermione had become dependent on him during the years they had lived with Harry, and she always found she slept better knowing that he was safe nearby.

"Better late than never," she said with a grin. "Reassuring to know some things never change," her tone was light and teasing, a lightheartedness taking over.

She reveled in his embrace, content to stay there for however long. Face pressed against his chest, Hermione looked up at him sharply, detecting the unconvincing tone. "Come on, really?"

"Of course I am! It took you forever to notice it, though." He hesitated for a moment, realizing that it wasn't the same for Hermione as it was for him. He'd just seen her the other day, before he showed up here. She hadn't seen him in three months. He quickly jumped back in to amend his statement, knowing that she needed more than his terribly untimed jokes.

"No. You are. Look at you. Just as beautiful as you were on our wedding day. And just as beautiful as I left you back in my time."

His butt was starting to hurt from the sink, but he did his best to ignore it, shifting only slightly to transfer his weight to the opposing buttcheek. he was in no rush to move, knowing that he was giving his love exactly what she needed. Or at least, he wasn't in a rush until she saw through his guise. Face painted over with that typical "oh shit, I'm busted expression" as his ears just barely lit up with the tiniest tint of red. He lifted his head and tilted it down to catch her gaze.

"I didn't mean to! It was George's fault!"

"Better late than never," Hermione joked back. She missed everything about Ron, and recalling her own memories; memories that Harry or Ginny couldn't share with her had been so difficult. That included to horribly timed jokes.

"Ron," she sighed. Hermione held him tighter, almost afraid to let go of him. It was illogical, yes, but the time spent apart from him was torture, and she didn't want to live through that again. "You're such a kiss-up."

Raising an eyebrow, Hermione fully laughed at his face. His ears hadn't gone undetected, so good she was at reading him, but she couldn't really be bothered to be upset. She had been without him long enough. Standing on her toes, Hermione gently nipped his left ear, grazing her teeth gently against the lobe. "I'm not mad. Well, here at least," she said amicably. "Back home, I'm sure I was furious. None of that matters right now."

She took his hand, guiding him into the bedroom. "What matters, is that you're here. And there's really no way I could be mad about that."

"Am not! Honest!"

His head tilted for her when she leaned in, being as he stood quite a bit taller than her, and grinned when she nipped as his ear. when she reassured he wasn't mad, it soothed a bit of nerves and the red faded away. she had, in fact, been livid. So much so that he was convinced they were going to have the record for the shortest lived marriage before a divorce -- aside from that muggle celebrity Britney Spears. He decided to let the subject drop, although he was itching to inform her just how mad she had been, deciding it was better for both of them.

Ron allowed Hermione to lead him out of the bathroom and back into the bedroom, his fingers interlacing with her own when she took his hand.

"If I was still 12, you probably would be. I really was a git." He slipped up behind her and leaned down to give her another kiss, this one planted right on her cheekbone. "I love you, Hermione. I'm sorry you've been stuck here for so long without me. Or the kids. You know, they're great."

He moved around her and tugged her with him as he moved to take a seat on the edge of the bed.

"Talking to Rosie is almost like talking to you when you were her age, all over again."

With a gratuitous eyeroll, Hermione squeezed his hand. She didn't want to broadcast exactly how terrified she'd been that he really was Taken when he was 12. The anxiety she had felt was unparalleled. All she had wanted for months now was for Ron to come to the Compound, and of course, it would be her luck that he was still a child.

"Yeah, you were. But if you were 12, you'd be considered an Omega, and I wouldn't have to deal with you," Hermione explained. "Well, not in the same way. I can't really do this with a 12 year old," she said, gesturing to their linked hands. Her eyes automatically searched for his wedding band, smiling when she spotted it. "I love you, too, Ron."

Her eyes felt a little watery, but she smiled all the same, sitting down on his lap and kissing him again. "I don't think you realize how much I've missed this," she murmured against his lips. "I hope you enjoy affectionate Hermione."

She grinned when he spoke of Rose. Hermione had been so proud to get to know their daughter in the time that they had together. "I'm sure. She's so wonderful all grown up. We did an incredible job, Ron. There's no one I would have rather done it with."

"You could. I mean, I was a devastatingly attractive 12-year old. And who knows what kind of laws this place does or doesn't have! Plus, it would only make me cooler. An older woman? oh yeah."

He noticed her peeking at the wedding band. Of course he had it. He went nowhere without it. Well, except the muggle strip clubs. Only kidding. When Hermione nestled down onto his lap, he moved his arms to wrap around her waist. One hand fell to rest on her thigh, rubbing up and down along it slowly, in a reassuring fashion.

"Of course not. Especially since it's rare we get alone time in my time. With two kids, plus all the nieces and nephews. I mean, but we are --" He paused for a moment, scrunching his eyebrows together. "Do you think we'll remember this place when we go back to our own times?"

"Oh, Merlin, I can only imagine what she'll be like when she's grown up. She's already twice as smart as I was at that age. She'll put her old man to shame, maybe even take my job!"

"An older woman that you found icky," Hermione pointed out. Settling into his lap further, she moved her hands over Ron's, twisting his wedding band gently. She moved it up his finger for a moment, noting the tan line before putting it back in its proper place. She adjusted her own rings on her finger, smiling down at them. The day of their wedding, Hermione couldn't seem to stop playing with the matching platinum bands, and she had a feeling she would continue to do so here, until Ron being with her again sank in.

"I've heard that some that come back here find it familiar. I don't know if we remember what happens here. How many do we have? I've meet Victoire and Victorien, Mini, Albus, Lila, Roxy and James...Rose, naturally. No Hugo, though."

Hermione grinned at Ron, leaning against him. "She was so incredible, Ron. I could see you in her. I wish she was still here."

"i'm sure I would wise up eventually. I did in our time, afterall!" Ron's gaze dropped from Hermione's and down to her hand idly playing with his ring, and then her own. He allowed his hand to be malleable, so that she could move his fingers to her choosing.

"Oh, jeez. That's a long list." He paused for a moment, counting off the ones she already mentioned from the list. "Well, there's no Victorien in our time. And Dominique doesn't really go by 'Mini.' Or at least, I don't call her that. We've only got Rose and Hugo. Harry and Gin have James, Albus and Lily. Bill and Fleur have got Victoire, Dominique and Louis. Oh, Teddy and Victoire have got a thing going on now, so he'll probably be apart of the family soon! And George and Angelina have Roxanne and Fred." He paused for a moment, lifting his gaze back up to hers with a thoughtful expression on his face.

"Bugger, I'm gonna feel like an arse if I forgot someone."

Hermione made a noise of assent, still fiddling with the worn band. They had made a great decision with the bands, for as far as she could tell, it had never been replaced. Just to make sure, she took the ring off of him entirely, tilting it slightly to read the inscription. "To Love, Honor and Irritate," she said with a smile. "Are you living up to that?"

She mentally kept a tab on the names of his siblings, pausing for a moment. "You forgot Percy, I think. I remember someone saying he had two girls."

Brown eyes met blue and Hermione leaned forward, kissing him again. "So no children, almost all of the kids are adults and Harry and Ginny have the ten year old. What's a newlywed supposed to do?" she asked. She knew exactly what she was playing at, and hoped Ron would get the hint. "I never even was carried over the threshold."

"To a tee. Even the irritate part. And yes, you check my ring quite often back home, too. Just to make sure I haven't lost it. But I take better care of that than anything else I've ever had in my life. Well, aside from you and the kids." Despite the fact that he was still Ron, she had married him for a reason. And the ability to throw out sweet little words like that every once in a blue moon was probably one of them.

"Bugger. I can't believe I forgot Lucy and Molly. Perc is off doing his own thing, though, so we don't see them too often. You know how Percy is."

He barely finished his sentence before Hermione was leaning again, and he managed to get the last few words out before catching her mouth with his own.

"Mmmm...I'm really hoping it has something to do with me and a girl nearly 10 years my junior doing things that would probably make my wife blush." He paused, catching her lips once more in another kiss before continuing. "Or baked goods. I could reeeaaalllly go for a pie."

Hermione flushed, placing the ring securely back on his finger. "I think I just like knowing that it's there. I play with mine all the time." It was a habit that she couldn't imagine being shaken, even if she were home. "Believe me when I say that I'm very happy you haven't lost it thirteen years later."

The news that Percy was doing his own thing wasn't truly news at all, and Hermione nodded. "Sometimes I see him at work. We get lunch sometimes. Or we did. I dunno about in the future."

She returned the kiss, breaking apart quickly to say, "Oi, I see no girl here, just a very attractive woman with a wedding dress her husband never got to peel off of her. But if you want baked goods..." Hermione mock sighed, moving her lips very close to Ron's before teasingly nipping his bottom lip and standing from his lap. "I suppose that could be arranged."

"Believe me, so am I. Surprised, too. I'm still pretty clumsy."

Ron couldn't help but snicker a little bit as she replied. But the snickering faded into a dumbfounded expression on his face when he, momentarily, thought that she might actually be going to make him food instead of sexytime. He loved food, his cholesterol could tell you that. But he was certain he'd just made a grave mistake. He reluctantly let her go and let her climb from his lap, one hand trailing to run fingers against the small of her back as arm unraveled from her waist.

"You know, I think I might be able to wait on the pie. Who am I to rob my beautiful wife of tradition?"

"Not where it counts, if I remember correctly," Hermione grinned salaciously, both at his statement and the expression on his face. A shiver ran down her spine as his fingers ghosted the small of her back, and she smirked down at her husband.

"Those are good words. I like those words," she murmured. "But...I have to get in my dress in order for you to have your fun getting me out of it."

Withdrawing the dress from the closet, where it laid in pristine condition, Hermione dressed quickly, though she ignored the shoes. She walked back towards Ron, calling out before she appeared, "I certainly hope you're strong enough. I have great expectations for my wedding night."
